Sung is an artist-researcher materializing fractures of control at the seams of body, technology, and nature. Tensions are shaped into tactile hybrid forms through iterative analog–digital processes and custom-made tools. Her practice blends material experimentation with a decade of research building immersive systems for embodied sensemaking and augmented creativity.
Current projects include The Martian Gardener Project, which displaces the human–plant relationship off-world to imagine a different rhythm of care, and Injury Atlas: The Dossiers, which stages what gets erased, compressed, and rewritten when a lived body is rendered as clinical data.
Her work has been supported by Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity (KOFAC) and the Seoul Foundation for Arts & Culture; her collaborative projects are permanently installed at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and the Gwangju National Science Museum.
