Sung-A Jang is a research-driven artist working at the intersection of body, technology, and nature, where systemic control gives way to emergence. She treats delay, error, and omission as material, turning friction into tactile hybrid forms through iterative analog–digital processes and custom tools. Ongoing projects include The Martian Gardener Project, a constructed archive of simulated ecologies, and Injury Atlas: The Dossiers, an inquiry into how lived experience is fragmented and reassembled by record-keeping systems. Her work has been supported by KOFAC and the Seoul Foundation for Arts & Culture; her collaborative projects are permanently installed at DDP and the Gwangju National Science Museum. She previously researched and built immersive tools for embodied sensemaking and expressive physical–digital systems.
